To celebrate, we’re throwing a party and hope you (and your leashed friends) will be our guests of honor! Our “Meet the Team” open house will be a free, family and pet friendly event to celebrate our new clinic, our community, our partners, and other small businesses just like ours. We hope you’ll drop by and meet the owner Dr. Rachel Hill and the whole care team here at FVC!

What to Expect
We aren't just a clinic; we’re your neighbors. Our open house features the local heroes and partners that make our hometown special.
Meet the K9 Heroes: We are honored to host local Police and Fire Education K9 units. Come meet these brave dogs and the officers who keep our community safe!
Local Rescues, Trainers, & Groomers: We’re proud to share our space with local rescues and stylists. If you’re looking for a new family member or a great local groomer, come say hello.
Behind-the-Scenes Tours: We’re opening our doors so you can see where the magic happens. Stop by our x-ray room to view real scans of foreign bodies, or visit our lab station to identify parasites using a microscope.
Junior Vet Surgery Lab: Kids, get to be a junior vet by bringing your injured stuffies for repair and assist volunteers from the U of A Pre-Vet club with suturing up holes or bandaging limbs.
We also have plenty of food, games, and family fun planned for our big day. Join us for our pet kissing booth, raffles, social media contests, face painting, and more!
Say Hello to Your FVC Care Team!
Leading our FVC Care Team, Dr. Rachel Hill was born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She earned her DVM from the University of Missouri in 2012 and has been caring for our hometown pets ever since. She’s worked with all kinds of animals, from dogs to cats to rhinos, lions, and wildebeests (yes, really!) during her adventures in Scotland and South Africa.
Dr. Hill is a highly skilled soft tissue surgeon and dentist with a special love for senior pain management and ultrasound. She guides FVC with one core belief: in veterinary medicine, everything begins and ends with the human/animal bond. She combines the latest veterinary technology with genuine care, always taking the time to listen, understand, and ensure every pet and their family gets the attention and treatment they deserve.
Want to meet the rest of our FVC crew? You’ll have to stop by our Open House to see us in action! We’re counting down the days until our big event, but to get the party started, we asked our team one fun question: “What’s got your tail wagging for the Open House?” Here’s what they had to say:
Avie, Client Experience Expert: What’s not to be excited about? I can’t wait to eat some Pedal Pops. I’m also super excited to meet the Fire Education K9 units!
Kayla, Lead Vet Assistant: I’m most excited for Mark, my golden retriever, to have his own kissing booth! Stop by and don’t miss your chance to score some Mark kisses!
Payton, Vet Assistant: Hmm, that’s difficult, I’m really excited about everything. I help run the Community Cat Support Network, so it’ll be cool to help get a table set up and meet some of the other local businesses and rescues!
Aubrey, Vet Assistant: I’m really excited about the Junior Vet Surgery Lab, I think stitching ‘injured’ stuffed animals is such a cute idea!
Emme, Pre-Vet Student: I’ll be helping the U of A pre-vet club with the Junior Vet Surgery Lab, so I’m super excited about that! I also think it’ll be cool for everyone to get a tour of the building and see the treatment area where we do surgeries and dentals.
Alan Hill, Practice Manager: Much like our giant elm, are the roots we’re planting at the corner of Hwy. 112 and West Van Asche. What has my tail wagging is the opportunity to celebrate our March 14th Open House with family, friends, Fayetteville K9 heros, and local businesses just like ours! I can’t wait to see you, shake your hand, and welcome you to what will one day be our family’s legacy—our contribution to a city we love more than any place else on earth.
Introducing Our Neighborhood Pet Party Lineup
We are so excited to showcase some of the incredible businesses, non-profits, volunteer organizations, and rescues that help make our community such a special place for pets and their people. As Fayetteville natives, we are deeply committed to supporting fellow local, pet-related businesses and strengthening the connections within our community.
And now… drumroll, please… let’s meet the amazing teams behind our neighborhood pet party line up!
Community Cat Support Network (CCSN)
Community Cat Support Network is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit focused on strategic Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) and community stabilization for high-need communities across the Arkansas River Valley, Central Arkansas, and Northwest Arkansas.
Since 2022, CCSN has facilitated the sterilization of nearly 3,000 pets, the majority of whom are community cats, helping prevent unwanted litters and reduce long-term strain on shelters and neighborhoods.
Headquartered in Russellville, we partner directly with caregivers to remove barriers to spay/neuter services, provide structured pet food assistance when possible, and support sustainable, humane solutions for free-roaming cat populations.
We believe prevention restores dignity, for animals and the people who care for them.
DogNosh - Katherine Kilian, Owner
DogNosh is a female-founded, Arkansas-based dog treat company created to raise the standard for everyday dog treats. Inspired by my five rescue dogs, I created DogNosh after realizing how many treats on the shelves were filled with unnecessary additives and fillers. Our mission goes beyond simple ingredients: we're committed to creating limited-ingredient treats pet parents can trust while actively supporting the rescue community that inspires our brand.
Encore Grooming - Erica Bentley & Lee Brown, Co-Owners
Our mission is to provide exceptional grooming services that prioritize the comfort, health, and happiness of every dog, while creating a stress‑free and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
Erica Bentley and Lee Brown are the co-owners and groomers behind Encore Grooming, where thoughtful care and comfort come first.
Erica blends deep pet-care know-how with an operations-minded approach to service. At Encore, she champions a calm, low-stress environment and a concierge-level client experience. Erica’s focus on transparency, safety, and education helps pups (and people) feel comfortable every step of the way.
Lee brings 14+ years in the dog industry, from managing daycare and boarding facilities in Minnesota to earning formal grooming certification in Colorado. After helping launch a friend’s grooming business in Colorado, Lee founded a successful shop in Wyoming before planting roots in Fayetteville to co-create Encore Grooming. A lifelong animal lover, Lee focuses on fear-free, comfort-first grooming that balances hygiene and style.
Ernie Boudreaux’s Doggie Dude Ranch - Julie Holland, Owner
Let your dog feel at home while you’re away. Say goodbye to kennel guilt. You’ll love knowing your dog is safe, happy, and getting plenty of attention. With personalized care and countryside walks, your furry friend is in the best hands possible. Every dog gets quality time, whether they love running or relaxing. We are locally trusted, voted among the Best of the Best in Northwest Arkansas and trusted by families across the region.
Fayetteville Fire Education - Marty Striefler, FFD
For decades, Dalmatians have served alongside firefighters at the Fayetteville Fire Department, supporting public safety and community outreach efforts. Higbee and Philli, along with Ash —who is currently in training to join them — continue that proud tradition by helping provide engaging, visual demonstrations that make important fire safety lessons easier for children to understand. During Fire Prevention Month each October, the dogs visit schools throughout Fayetteville, assisting firefighters in spreading important safety messages to students across the community.
Beyond their public role, the Dalmatians are also an important part of the firehouse family, providing daily companionship and morale support to the firefighters who serve the community.
Here’s the current crew:
Higbee is currently 4 years old and the senior Dalmatian on-duty with his handler, Marty. He has been on duty since 2022. He is a liver spotted Dalmatian. He absolutely loves baby carrots, ear rubs, and snuggles.
Philli is 3 years old and taken care of by Chris, his handler. He came on-duty in 2023. He works alongside his brother Higbee and is also liver spotted Dal. He enjoys baby carrots and any muddy puddle he can find.
Ash is a 4-month-old long-haired Dalmatian. She is currently in training with her handler Heidi, preparing to join the pack. She replaces Ember, who retired in December 2025. She is full of energy and eager to learn her new role!
Humane Society of the Ozarks - Alison Kimbrough, Board of Directors
Humane Society of the Ozarks promotes the humane and ethical treatment of all animals through education and advocacy. We are a nonprofit organization focused on helping make the community around us a better, happier place. With the help of our tireless staff, we organize fundraisers, community-building events, and in-depth training sessions for our volunteers.
Lillie’s Loaves - Lauren Cartwright, Owner
As a Sourdough Microbakery in the heart of Fayetteville, we aim to replace your weekly store-bought bread and offer sourdough-based, better-for-you delicious treats. We stand for community, passion, nourishment, and quality.
NWA School for Dogs - Shanthi Steddum, Owner
NWA School for Dogs has proudly provided force-free, positive reinforcement training to Northwest Arkansas since 2013. We are committed to ethical, science-based methods that build trust, confidence, and lasting results for dogs and their families.
Shanthi has been working with dogs since 1996, bringing decades of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of canine behavior. Every member of our team completes a comprehensive apprenticeship through School for Dogs, in addition to professional education through Karen Pryor Academy, one of the most respected positive reinforcement schools for dog trainers in the world.
We are proud to support our community by partnering with local dog rescues and working alongside New Beginnings NWA to help their furry friends become confident, well-mannered canine citizens.
Paw Patrol Mobile Grooming - Carrie Ward, Owner
Paw Patrol Mobile Grooming is a veteran owned business. We are a team of 4. Currently we are working to open a brick and mortar shop in addition to our mobile services.
I have a huge love for my community and their fur babies. Our mission is to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality grooming services that prioritize the comfort and well-being of every pet. We believe pets are family, and we are committed to creating a calm, positive experience for both pets and their parents.

Rope Hounds is a small, family-owned business based in Bentonville that creates high-quality dog gear from real climbing rope. Designed for trail dogs, neighborhood walkers, and every adventure in between! We focus on sustainable, thoughtful practices and create durable products that are built to last.
